Let In Wales

The original Counting House was an office for local coal mines in the late 1800's. The accounts were kept here and the coal trucks went by to the jetty on the beach. The mines were part of a large estate centred on Southwood Farm above Newgale and the owners lived in Wiltshire. Around 1900 the office was extended to become a house. In 1959 the property was purchased at auction by the current owners.

The house has 3 -4 bedrooms sleeping 5/7 people, arranged as a double bedroom, a single room and twin bedded room. A cot and highchair are also available. There is a sofa double bed downstairs in a side room. Bring your own bed linen and towels - pillows and duvets or blankets are provided for all beds.

There is a large living room with sitting at one end (including TV and video) and dining at the other end with a wood burning stove. There's also a sun lounge, downstairs bathroom with a shower and a cloakroom with bidet.

The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave oven and upright fridge freezer. washing machine and tumble dryer are along the passageway (pegs & washing line in garden.) iron and ironing board in cupboard under stairs.

The Garden is mainly lawn and fenced to keep dogs in. The grass is cut weekly depending on weather.

Pets are allowed but please not upstairs or on furniture.

Heating - An oil fired combi boiler in the garage runs the hot water and the heating. hot water is available at all times.

Electricity is not on a meter. There is a payphone which accepts £1, 50p, 20p & 10p coins. The house is in a mobile phone shadow - but further up the hill is ok.

Parking is provided for 2 cars by back door.

The nearest local shop/Post office is in the village of Roch about two and a half miles away, another shop/Post Office is at Simpson Cross on the main road to Haverfordwest the main local shopping centre for Tesco's, Morrisons and other leading retailers.

Petrol and other supplies can be obtained from Pelcomb Service station approx 4 miles away along the A487 towards Haverfordwest
