Llandudno is also famed for its amazing 300 meter dry ski slope , where the Artificial Ski Championships are held each year. The 'Great Orme Mine ' is definitely worth a visit - explore the 3,500 year old tunnels, learn about the fascinating people that created them and watch archaeologists at work. Britain's only cable hauled tramway can also be visited - jump on the Great Orme Tramway and travel to the summit of the Great Orme in the original Victorian carriages. Colwyn Bay is situated between Llandudno and Rhyl and is a slightly quieter, more peaceful destination.
