The Glamorgan Heritage Coast spans across 14 Miles, reaching from West Aberthaw to Porthcawl. Its gorgeous scenery, including stunning cliffs and headlands, beaches and incredible sand dunes, makes it ones of Wales top destinations.
A wide variety of activites can be enjoyed along the way - golf
courses, sandy beaches, surfing, sailing and hiking. The Coast is also
home to loads of self catering cottages, which are the perfect choice if you want a warm comfy base to come home to at the end of a days walking or cycling.
Perfect for walkers, the heritage coast has a footpath which you
can explore and enjoy. Along the way you will come across an exciting
mixture of castles, pebbly coves, lighthouses, forts and interesting
rock formations. Follow
the coast along to the area of Porthcawl and you will find a great
place for watersports, a bit of fishing or simply to relax one of the
clean, safe beaches nearby.
Dunraven Bay A good place to start your discovery
of the Coast is at the Heritage Coast Centre situated in Dunraven Pak,
Southerndown. This useful visitor centre has a small shop and a huge

Castle and Newcastle being the others), and was in use until the 19th
Century -now standing as a famous local landmark.
