Cardiff City centre is crammed full of shops – from all your usual high street favourites to those offering something a bit more unique, you really are spoilt for choice.
Pedestrianised Queen's Street offers some of the best shopping in
Wales, but if you want something that little bit extra special take a
look around the Arcades. Check out Nice
for a funky accessory for your home – they literally have everything
that you could ever want and is a great place to find an unusual gift.
There are also some fabulous jewellery shops and independent clothes
stores where you can pick up something special – or just have a browse
as the Arcades are lovely to take a stroll through, or stop in one of
the many cafes or juice bars for some well deserved refreshment!
If you are in Cardiff Bay , take a look at Craft in the Bay which features the largest selection of handmade quality crafts in Wales, with baskets, pottery, jewellery, hand-crafted furniture, ceramics, and much more.
Many other Welsh cities are also great for an enjoyable day out shopping. Swansea plays hosts to all the High Street names as well as some cool boutiques and specialist shops. You can also take a stroll through Swansea market - the largest indoor market in Wales with its vast selection of fresh produce, gifts and flowers and pick up something a little bit different. Cwmbran boasts the largest covered shopping centre in Wales, and with over 170 shops it will definitely satisfy even the most demanding shopper!
There are two shopping villages in Wales – McArthur Glen Designer Outlet in Bridgend and Festival Park Factory Shopping Village in Gwent. Both offer great savings on a wide variety of items such as designer clothes and toys, and are the perfect answer to a wet afternoon!
For souvenirs and gifts you will find an abundance of craft and gift shops all over Wales, selling everything from traditional Welsh Weaves and Tapestries to Love Spoons – you are guaranteed to find the perfect memento from your stay.
